Chateau Garden – Guided Tour

Route description

Be enchanted by the garden’s natural richness

The Chateau Garden in Kroměříž covers an area of 53 hectares, where natural beauty is intertwined with rich history and art. Since its creation in 1509, it has evolved from a utilitarian garden into a Baroque ornamental garden, and in the 19th century it was transformed into a Romantic park of European significance.

Today, visitors can admire more than 200 species of rare trees from around the world, picturesque water channels, a variety of pavilions inspired by antiquity and exotic cultures, and tranquil corners inviting rest and contemplation. For a deeper experience, we recommend joining a guided tour, during which a guide will introduce you to the fascinating stories of this place, its architecture, and the personalities who shaped it. Discover all the beauty of the Sub-Castle Garden and let yourself be carried away by its atmosphere.

Route details

The tour lasts 50 minutes. At present, guided tours of the garden are available in Czech only. The guide will meet visitors at the Mill Gate, at the entrance to the Guardhouse exhibition. Tickets can be purchased online or at the castle ticket offices.

In the event of sudden closure of the Sub-Castle Garden, you may choose a guided tour of the Sala Terrena or the Guardhouse as an alternative.
