All the 135 thousand art objects kept in the collections at the Archiepiscopal Chateau in Kromeriz are the property of the Olomouc Archbishopry. The collections (including paintings, drawings and graphic works, the numismatic collection, music archives, mobiliary and the library) belong to the most valued collections of its kind worldwide. It has been commissioned to the maintanance of the of the branch of The Olomouc Archdiocesan Museum of Art (branch The Kromeriz Archdiocesan Museum)
Although Orlovna Gallery is a separate exhibition hall placed outside the Archiepiscopal Chateau complex in a former water tower building, it is a part of the Via Artis combined ticket.The gallery, 5 minutes walk from the Chateau, displays mostly modern art by young authors.
